My Wings

I don’t have a good feeling about this. The Wings lost at home 5-2 yesterday and are now heading into a game seven against the Coyotes. This never felt like it was “their season” but going out in the first round would not be a good thing.

The 2010  baseball season is upon us. Time to make some picks for the upcoming season.

Let’s start with my Detroit Tigers. After a sad, sad end to the season in which they were in first for most of it only to lose on the last day of the season and miss to playoffs thanks to the pesky twins, how did I think they will do this season? They will contend but I don’t see them making the playoffs. The divsion will come down to them, the Twins and the White Sox but I expect the Twins to take it even without their closer.

Here are my divsion picks:

AL

East: Yankees - too good

Central: Twins

West: I’d like to pick the Marniers they should be good but I’m going with the Rangers

Wild Card: Rays

NL

East: Phillies

Central: St. Louis

West: Rockies

Wild: Dodgers

I look for a rematch the World Series but this time the Phillies win.

Hopefully I do a better pick than I did with my basketball bracket.

Bracket Busted

Things didn’t look too hot after Kansas lost in the second round even worse when Sryacuse lost early as well. I did have West Virginia going to the Finals though. That was all I had going for me until Duke beat them on Saturday. This was a good tourney and except for that horrible Michigan State/Butler game over the weekend I have enjoyed most of it. Hope Butler pulls it out tonight!
